Combine simple robotics and snap-on electronics with a micro:bit for some unique STEAM learning. This Strawbees Robotic Inventions kit for the micro:bit enables students to create physical and mechanical inventions powered by the micro:bit and Strawbees connectors.
This is an add-on accessory for using a micro:bit with the Strawbees construction system. Children get to learn about physical computing, electornic construction, and more with custom Strawbees materials.
Get to Know:
The kit is used to snap the micro:bit to physical Strawbees constructions and program mechanical structures with servo motors—a nice way for children to unlock physical interaction with their latest engineering project! As an add-on kit, it requires the use of another Strawbees product for building objects with construction pipes and connectors. Once children have structures built, they can create programs with Microsoft's block-based MakeCode programming platform, upload it, and run it in their inventions!
Students can learn:
Physical Computing: Extend programming to the physical world beyond the computer screen with interactive projects using the Strawbees construction system.
Electronic Construction: All electronics easily connect directly to Strawbees connectors and straws.
*All materials are custom-made, durable, and reusable—students can finish building, disassemble, and begin a new project.
What's in the Box:
*The micro:bit board is not included.
The box measures 135 x 170 x 55 mm (L, W, H mm) and 5.3 x 6.7 x 2.2 (L, W, H) in.
