STEM Sports - STEM Soccer Kit
The STEM Soccer program has the perfect trappings to create a robust supplemental curriculum that juggles between classroom teaching as well as on-the-pitch learning opportunities. The STEM Soccer curriculum is designed to pair strategic STEM-based activities with soccer and the techniques behind the sport.
STEM Soccer gives students the opportunity to get behind the sport they love with lessons around the science of properly inflated balls, burning calories while playing, using the Engineering Design Process (EDP), using math to predict the probability of penalty kicks, and much more. Each educational soccer activity the students engage in has a direct lesson in the curriculum to take their curiosity and understanding to a deeper level.

Crossing the spectrum of the sport, the STEM Soccer curriculum touches and tackles several different lessons throughout the eight-module program and features:
- The importance of properly inflated soccer balls and how molecules respond inside the ball
- Learning how active play and burning calories correlates
- Creating their own goal line technology through the Engineering Design Process
- Calculating the probability of penalty kicks. Students will be able to predict the number of penalty kicks by using a model from collected data
