The Pro-Bot Robot offers kids an enticing, engaging, and hands-on experience with Logo programming as well as robotic controls. Pro-Bot commands are entered via the arrow and number keys mounted on the back of the bot and students may also write them in Terrapin Logo and download them to their Pro-Bot.

Get to Know:
The Pro-Bot is one of the latest turtle robots from Terrapin, cleverly disguised as a race car and built to help introduce students to coding concepts.
Students enter Pro-Bot commands using that set of arrow and number keys that are mounted on the back side of their bots. They can plan the routes for the Pro-Bot and press the corresponding keypad controls. For example, kids pressing its Go button sends the Pro-Bot on its way and it will then follow the sequence of commands that students enter step by step.
The Pro-Bot can also hold a felt-tip pen in a built-in, centrally located drawing mechanism, helping it to draw as it moves, much like the turtle on the screen. A simple PenUp/PenDown toggle makes it easy for students to turn drawing on and off and reinforces the same concepts for screen drawing.
The Pro-Bot not only supports procedures that it can execute, but it also has the capability of storing subprocedures that students could incorporate into a Pro-Bot program. Even those complex projects are made simple with options for students to develop and test subprocedures and to then incorporate them into a master program and send the Pro-Bot on its way.
In addition to this moving and turning, the Pro-Bot also boasts several built-in sensors and they'll provide kids with a strong foundation in robotics concepts and both front and rear bumpers are each touch sensors. Every Pro-Bot even comes equipped with some sound and light sensors. So, having their Pro-Bot respond differently based on the different states of its sensors is an awesome programming challenge that provides an exciting robotics experience.
What's in the Box:
This built-in LCD screen makes on-board programming easy. As keys are pressed, the equivalent Logo command appears on the screen. When the Pro-Bot is sent on its way using the Go button, each command within that sequence is highlighted on the LCD screen as it's executed. Students can edit and alter programs on the LCD screen using just the edit keys without having to enter the entire program again.
