If you've ever wondered what makes certain EdTech tools so effective, we hope to answer just that. Two of Eduporium's co-founders, Rick Fredkin and Irina Tuule, discuss what exactly it means for a technology to be productive. In this video, they share how our experts determine the educational value of technology tools—both in the classroom environment and for helping students develop the skills they need for future careers. Since our mission is to get every student learning and exploring with technology, we know that we first need to make completely certain that every STEM tool on our store is useful to them. That's why we vet everything we recommend to educators, so they know it's worthwhile for both them and their students. If it’s not engaging kids, helping them develop a valuable skill, or empowering them to create something, it’s not usually a technology we’re looking at.
Since our incorporation, that's what we've helped educators do. As Rick can personally attest, knowing how to use technology can give students a career—and a lot of fulfillment. Technology is no longer simply a subject to learn about; it's a tool that enables greater learning in a cross-curricular way and that's how we've always seen it. It’s meant to empower students to work through problems creatively. But, it also empowers them to explore new corners of the world and connect with their peers.
