The Tello EDU’s a compact, lightweight classroom drone with a purposeful design that helps to enable seamless integration in K-12 classroom coding projects, STEAM experiences, and CTE curricula. One of the signature DJI drones, students can program it using Scratch, Swift, or Python and utilize the Tello app to redefine real-world lessons in many different subjects.

Working with students at Riverside Elementary East, Jennifer has played a key role in starting a school STEAM program that is set to enter its second year. She has helped children in many traditionally underserved categories by committing to increasing equity in STEM learning and inspiring children from all backgrounds to explore STEM opportunities.

Each of the UBTECH Education robotics kits—Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced—are very engaging for students, offering opportunities for hands-on engineering, coding, and problem-solving using the unique components and sensors. This week, we’re breaking down each of the kits, including what comes in the packages, the curriculum, and more.

Valerie is an author, educator, and huge proponent for STEM education. She’s helped lead hands-on STEM experiences for students and helped expand their minds with some of her favorite STEM-related books. Whether it’s hands-on coding or stimulating creative thoughts, Valerie definitely believes in the power of collaboration and community.

Among the happenings at our booth, we’ll display some educator favorites, including tech tools for the classroom, library, and makerspace and share the benefits of some of the other services we provide.

Whether it’s classroom teachers or challenges students themselves are facing, it’s a different environment when it comes to STEM instruction. Since the value of of these classes lies in their hands-on nature, it’s been quite a physical and mental adjustment trying to provide students with the experiences they need.

Jacie is an author, consultant, and speaker from Pittsburgh, PA who’s done a lot to contribute to the betterment of STEM education. Whether it’s been creating PD resources for teachers or designing hands-on, engaging STEM lessons for students, she’s certainly helped extend the reach and impact of various programs.

As they’re becoming an increasingly important part of 21st century schools, libraries are evolving to better serve the needs of modern students. They’re being transformed into instant information hubs, innovation centers, and makerspaces as they grow into a tool for 21st century learning—breaking away from past standards.

Eduporium, a STEM education reseller and start-up in Newton, MA, has received capital from The Boston Foundation. Since applying for the funding about 18 months ago, the final pieces have been put in place to provide the company with additional capital after working with two advisers for a year-long period as part of the Business Equity Initiative.
