We had a blast attending this year's ISTE Conference in Philadelphia. It was a great couple of days and we truly enjoyed getting to catch up with a lot of our vendor and educator partners. The topics on everyone's minds ranged from AI in education to creating more agency in professional learning with keynotes aimed at inspiring educators to be limitless. And, it was another firsthand reminder that this annual event pretty much is the epicenter of EdTech.
Although we did not have a booth this year, the experience of attending the conference was definitely a positive one. This allowed us to meet one-on-one with representatives from a lot of the EdTech vendors we work with on a daily basis. With reps from different companies, we discussed things like new EdTech tools or versions they might soon be releasing and any updates to their current product lines. Gaining this information and insight firsthand in such a bustling environment was certainly different but also definitely exciting and worthwhile.
Having been there twice now, we can certainly say that the environment is unlike any other EdTech conference despite other national EdTech shows catching up in popularity. Plus, for us, the conference taking place in Philadelphia provided the opportunity for a very quick trip, which is always a plus. The exhibitor floor was once again amazing to see and set up in a way that was easy to navigate. The booths of some of our partners, like littleBits, Ozobot, Wonder Workshop, and Sphero were amazing and always packed with eager educators!
Ultimately, we used most of our time at the show to learn more about what our vendor partners have in their pipelines and what educators are looking for. We're confident that we left Philadelphia with a lot of useful info that we'll use to enhance our offerings. We're also grateful to be able to work with so many great companies and enjoyed getting to catch up with reps from our top partners! We look forward to hopefully seeing you all next year at ISTE 2020 in Anaheim!
