Since we created our EdTech grant program in 2018, we've helped numerous teachers facilitate impactful STEAM initiatives for their students. We created it to help educators increase equity and access for some of their more traditionally underserved students and we're proud about its evolution in that time. Of course, we're also excited to continue offering one of the easiest technology grants for teachers to apply for. The program's open to every educator, including classroom teachers, district administrators, school technology directors, librarians, and makerspace leaders. Replacing an earlier version of our grant program, this allows us to offer educators the opportunity to apply for a $500 grant every month and, if selected, simply use the monetary award right on our store.

“The fact that teachers rely on various grants to help them bring the latest technology into the classroom is something we are very much aware of,” says Eduporium President and CEO, Rick Fredkin. “As our team continues to grow, we'll keep offering teachers every opportunity to excel like we have in the past.”

An opportunity to acquire new STEM supplies.

Our always-growing online store is home to hundreds of different STEAM tools in one place. We have had grant programs before but the awards were not as frequent or as financially impactful. Now, with the larger award, recipients have more freedom in choosing among the various EdTech and makerspace kits that we offer. Whoever we select can choose from our educational robotics solutions, programmable drones for CTE, 3D printers, filaments, or early education tools. In our earlier days, we awarded four $250 grants per year but, with this move, we get to better the STEM education community with these $500 monthly grants, giving educators a chance at the award 12 times per year.

Those who wish to apply for our grant award can do so anytime before the 20th of each calendar month. The application process resets every month—opening on the first of each calendar month and closing on the 20th. We'll announce the recipient of each grant and contact that educator before the final day of that month. We then share the news on all our social media channels, through our email newsletter, and on our blog. Also, anyone who's not selected as a grant awardee can re-apply during a future application cycle.

What teacher grants for classroom tech can get you.

Eduporium is home to hundreds of EdTech, STEAM, and maker education solutions. These include tools like 3D printers, virtual reality systems, robotics devices, coding kits, and much more. And, educators can put potential grant money toward any of these tools (fully or partially). We've also partnered with many of the greatest players in EdTech, like MakerBot, RobotLAB, Ozobot, Wonder Workshop, DJI, Terrapin, Glowforge, and more to help teachers learn about and purchase new tech tools at a discounted price.

“We want more educators to see that technology in their schools isn't necessarily financially stressful,” said Fredkin. “Our goals are providing new EdTech and helping teachers save on cost, which the grant program really helps us achieve.”

We encourage all educators with interest to explore the grant opportunity and to fill out the application. You can also contact the Eduporium team by phone at 1 (877) 252-0001 or email our grant specialists anytime. For more information and updates, follow us on Twitter and Instagram.
