We are excited to share this latest "Eduporium Featured Educator" interview with our community. Every month, we’re highlighting the work of an educator who is effectively utilizing EdTech to empower students with greater learning opportunities. We love being able to share these stories and their work and hope this continues to give all educators encouragement to try out new things in the classroom! This month, we are featuring Mindy Adamonis, a STEAM Teacher from Virginia. She's been using EdTech tools she's received through our grant program to enhance science and social studies across grade levels.

Q&A:
What have you done with the EdTech tools you received through Eduporium's grant?
With the Makey Makey's, I've been able to work collaboratively with a fifth grade class to make interactive models of the ocean floor. With those Squishy Circuits kits, I've introduced electricity concepts to fourth graders and reviewed those same concepts with some fifth grade children. They used the base knowledge gained by using Squishy Circuits to make LED light-up "winter" themed cards.
What do you students enjoy most about using EdTech?
My students love EdTech because it's something they don't get to interact with on a regular basis. They're able to use something they enjoy to build, create, and interact with, which I love as an educator.
What interests you most about Eduporium?
The Eduporium team has captured my attention as an amazing company. Not only do they offer engaging EdTech products for educators, but workshops and lending libraries as well! I'm looking forward to being given a budget next year and working with Eduporium to stretch my limited funding!
We thank Mindy for speaking with us! If you know of an educator who is doing exciting things with EdTech, feel free to recommend them (or yourself!) for us to highlight in our Featured Educator series by sending us a short blurb detailing how you've used educational technology tools to empower students!
