Searching for an innovative way to teach circuitry concepts with minimal components and zero clean-up? Choose the Circuit Scribe pen! Kids can draw circuits instantly and learn the basics of electronic principles with this no-mess conductive ink pen.
I experimented with the Circuit Scribe Lite Kit, which comes with one conductive ink pen, two coin cell batteries and one Bi-LED module. The Circuit Scribe Basic Kit is also available on our site. It includes more modules, such as motors, buzzers, and resistors for even more experimentation!
The conductive ink pen looks and feels like a regular ballpoint pen with silver ink, however, I soon learned how magical it was when I started drawing my own circuit designs! I found the instructions easy to understand and the pen simple to use—both of which are key components for kids. I created a Fold Button Circuit, which involved drawing a cool circuit pattern of my choice, snapping the magnetic LED module on and powering my circuit with one of the batteries. The first time the Circuit Scribe LED module lit up, I was thrilled! I can only imagine the immense confidence boost children receive from completing their very own hand-drawn circuits.
These kits are truly perfect for project-based and exploratory learning. They epitomize 21st century education by teaching basic electronic concepts while fine tuning artistic skills. Lids can learn about currents, conductivity, voltage, and more with any of the Circuit Scribe kits! This really is STEAM learning at its best.
