Wonder Workshop is one of the most recognized names in STEM education and their robotics tools have helped teachers and students enjoy coding education that's engaging and age-appropriate. Using their Dash and Dot Robots in elementary school along with the more advanced Cue Robot in middle school, Wonder Workshop is helping educators prepare students for tomorrow. We carry a bunch of their kits and accessories on our store, including in individual units and classroom packs. We’ve also just added their brand-new Gripper Building Kit to our offerings, giving students another element of the Dash or Cue that they can control with code!
Some of the best values and experiences using Wonder Workshop’s robots, however, come with their classroom packs. Among the ones we have on our store are the Cue 12 Pack, Cue 6 Pack, Dash 6 Pack, K-5 Classroom Pack, and K-5 School Pack. And, with these classroom packs, educators also have access to the additional components that come inside, like launchers, markers, and curriculum, though the extras vary with each individual kit.
The accessories, like the launcher, Sketch Pack, and challenge cards can engage kids in a bunch of different ways. As we mentioned, Wonder Workshop also just launched a brand-new Gripper Building Kit for students to engineer and attach to their robot. It can lift, carry, pull, and pick up items, teaching hands-on learning of gears, levers, and axles. The Gripper works with the Dash or Cue and we’re excited to see how educators and students use this accessory in conjunction with one of the robots!
We always want the educators we work with and those who access our site to be well-informed about the technology they are purchasing. This includes everything from compatible devices to battery life, getting started, and basic information about what can be taught with each tool. For Wonder Workshop, we have tons of helpful content on our blog, including many features as part of our Tips & Tricks series. The first one we recommend checking out is our Tips & Tricks blog on the Dash Robot. Learn how, when paired with the Dot or on its own, the Dash is a helpful way to engage elementary students with technology and teach them about programming through block coding.
One of our other favorite blog posts is our Tips & Tricks edition on the Cue Robot. In this post, we discuss some of the best mobile apps to use when coding with the Cue as well as a lot of the ways kids can customize their robot to interact with them while they learn. Finally, we recently played around with the Sketch Pack and offered up some helpful hints in a Tips & Tricks blog about this set of accessories. Click here to learn about our thoughts and how easy it is to program the robots to draw!
Obviously, we think very highly of Wonder Workshop and the ability of their robots and accessories to engage students in all K-8 grades in meaningful and long-lasting STEAM learning. These tools along with the teacher materials that are also available as part of classroom packs or separately are a great way to integrate hassle-free STEM education in any classroom. To add any of the single robots or classroom packs to your teaching toolbox be sure to visit our store! And, if you have any questions about the Dash, Cue, the classroom packs, Wonder Workshop, or coding in general, please feel free to reach out to us at support@eduporium.com or on social media!
