If it happens to be free, doesn’t mean download you should. As we tie up our shoelaces, we will put it through the paces. What follows is our verdict on what the case is, so stay tuned you should!

Overview: Apps like Science360 gives the type of immersive experience the iPad was made for. It feel like you’re taking a deep long dive into a multimedia world of endless knowledge which the National Science Foundation (NSF) provides through this app. It’s a plethora of engaging science and engineering images and videos from around the globe in addition to a news feed featuring breaking news from the NSF-funded institutions. Content is either produced by the NSF or gathered from scientists, colleges and universities and NSF science and engineering centers.

Pros:

·      Spectacular HD images from NSF-funded institutions

·      Fun and engaging content on a wide variety of topics

·      Keep abreast of breaking stories in scientific discovery as they happen

·      High tech design that makes the user feel like they have the world at their finger tips

Cons:

·      No table of contents

·      Requires a high-speed data connect for the massive amounts of content

·      On occasion for content does not load

Conclusion: This is an amazing app especially for science lovers who want to explore the globe and dive into all sorts of information. The design does wonders in helping to capture your imagination. One could spend hours in Science360 and that would no doubt be a good thing, as long as your data connection can keep up with this app. I don’t recommend using this on anything other than a good Wi-Fi connection, otherwise the time you’d rather spend exploring the globe may be spent loading it. In any case if you love science it may just be worth the wait.
